Looking good so far.....On the screen shots hit the Delete key then Pan back, you wont get that fish eye lens effect.
I know this is a work in progress but I will add some thoughts for you.
1.Work on lining up the camo, its tuff and takes time but the end results are worth it.
2. Add some texturing (To give it a real world look) and weathering to give it atleast a little use look, how much depends on your liking. I tend to go historical here. Some planes were well kept and then some were seeing so much action that paint scratches and scaring, oil stainds, gun stains, dirt, mud and much more built up. Look at some of the marine early war F4U's to see what I mean. The P-40 suffered the same fate. To much time in the Air and not enough TLC on the ground other than the bare stuff Like Motor work, patched holes, and what not.
You will notice that Late War P-51's were fairly clean, along with late war spits, 109's, 190's, P-47's. Bombers were a diffrent story though. "Put Them in the air and Bomb the Hell out of Them" was the prevailing thought. Meaning they were used untill they couldn't fly anymore and little if any attention was payed to the way the looked on the outside, Who cares how shinny or how nasty the paint looks so long as it can drop bombs.
Keep up the good work and every thing will come together. Keep us posted, you find the skinners here are more than willing to give you their thoughts and hints. And it is Help, you wont be patronized for being a newbie, Rember that
