Cold Pe-2

Here's a skin that I just completed the other day, fresh from my new template.

I previewed it over at UBI forums.

Sorry about the ruff edges in the screens. I was looking for mapping errors when I took them. And I don't run my game with FSAA on. P1ngu666 help me with research and resourses, so hats off to him. He also took the time to upload some Highres screens of it, after laughing at me

here's a link to the UBI thread, with his shots, if their still up.

And here's a link to the skins.

Re: Cold Pe-2

Very nice skin

Incidentally Ive been flying a DCG Eastern Front campaign lately and this skin is a must have when the winter comes

Anyway, does the upload includes a blank - non marked - skin as well?

Great work

Re: Cold Pe-2

Good looking

One tip for weathering with winter paint: The paint that was used for winter paint (white) had the habit to come of in big pieces. This due to the bad quality and because it was applied in the field (not neatly sprayed)

Re: Cold Pe-2

Yup can't leave those out.

I'm also working on a pack of Pe-2's. From profiles I have in a book.
Will release them soon, most likely in a week or two. Working on another project at the moment.

After I've made a few more Pe-2 skins, I'll release the template.

BTW, Anyone who wants to use this skin in any of their custom campaigns can. Just say you have skins by me in the credits if you are going to put it up for DL.

Thanks for commenting on it Serval I understand what your saying. Will fool around with it a bit more. Was kinda shoot'n from the hip on the white wash. My fist skin with it. And the profile was artwork, so was'nt shure about how accurate it was. Was all I had to go from really. The B/W photos I have of winter Pe's are low res.

Re: Cold Pe-2

Well, I did some work with the easer(Splatter brush) on the winter layer.
And I think it does look more realistic now. Gona do some more work to the winter layer before I release and future winter schemes.
