15th FG, 45th FG - Gilberts 1943-44

Eight P-40N's done on the "M" model:

The color was a local concoction that their engineering section called "Coral Sand." The undersides were an unspecified light blue. I'm sure of all the serials except 113 - I added that to make an even eight - but it most likely was among the 19 aircraft assigned to the unit. Joe Baugher has an incredibly complete list of U.S. serial numbers but these numbers are missing - and sandwiched between large groups of serials assigned to the RAAF. I think they may have been obtained irregularly!

These should be available soon at http://www.Balbo-net.org

Very nice work Vig!

I recently did some P-40Ls of the 57th FG in the MTO that were of the same color...almost. Tough to replicate but seems you did a very nice job.
