A problem with FSX VC's

Some of the addon planes originally made for FS9 but converted to FSX seems to give problems for some people.
Like me .

Well, just got an Antonov An-26 where the VC view looks like this...

Not great eh?!

I've been told at Simviation that I might can change the BMP file using DTXBMP.
See this topic Simviation Forums - Now I can cry
I'm not a very good friend with that program, so if anyone who knows it would have a go at it for me.

Re: A problem with FSX VC's

No FS repainter out there that can help me out here?

I've got a message from the author of the An-26 to try and alter the alpha channel on this BMP file, but I have no clue of what format to save it in.

Re: A problem with FSX VC's

I had a similar problem with the Iris Tornado F3/G4, they said its a problem with FSX and they sent me a fix.
Seems it happens with several A/C (especially Acceleration pack)

Re: A problem with FSX VC's

See if this helps guys. Sorry for the delay in getting it posted. It was a case of my saving that link somewhere 'safe' and then when I finally needed it, I forgot where I saved it.

Re: A problem with FSX VC's

Thank you Adlabs.

Do you or anyone know which "save as" I shall use in DXTBMP?

I try one of the grey alpha colours first to see if that will work.

Re: A problem with FSX VC's

Go onto save then DXT3 as the option at the bottom, it'll either be DXT1 or DXT3 (DXT1 no alpha would keep the cockpit messed up, and you wouldnt be able to see out.

Re: A problem with FSX VC's

DXT3, yes that should be correct.
