New textures problem

I just made my own night texture in PhotoShop for the 737, but they come on as I turn the landing lights. Is there anything I haven't done or is it a stupid question?

Re: New textures problem

I can't recall what model it was in FS9, but one of my repaints did this. It was an airliner, maybe a 737-200. The window lights would only come on with the landing lights were on.

I am not sure why this happened.

Re: New textures problem

That's what I preferred, and there were some models that worked that way. When night came, and the panel lights were on, so were exterior light maps.

Maybe something in how they program the aircraft model.

Re: New textures problem

I tried with the alpha channels, the white channel turns on landing lights and the black the panel lights. In an DC-10 I saw red Alpha, but I don't remember where that aircraft was and what did the alpha to the night lights. Anyway I fixed this with the alphas and I have to fly the aircraft this way until I find a solution.

Re: New textures problem

They are tied to the XML coding of the model and thus very difficult if not impossible to sever the tie.
