Bare Aluminum

Hello all,

I was going to attempt a bare aluminum paint for the Overland freeware MD-11. Anyone here have any tips or even a good starting point?

Here are a few tips:
- use lots of good reference pics (viva Airliners.net)
- use strong contrasts (from almost pure white to almost pure black. Well, maybe not that much, but close.)
- Adding touches of blue, or yellow (or sometimes other colours) will often enhance realism. Play with that and see what the best results are.

Note I don't draw skins, only profiles, but the techniques are rather similar. I'm sure other people can help you as well but it's easier to give advice on something already started. HTH.
