Eddie Andreini's Yak-9U "Barbarossa"

Hi all,

Not sure if you display new skins at this site but if not let me know and I won't do it again

Eddie's Russian Yak-9U was custom built in Russia on the original 1945 jigs in 1996. It was delivered to Half Moon Bay in July 1996 and paint work and assembly began. In February 1997 the first flight was performed at the Half Moon Bay airport, this flight lasted about 45 minutes and the airplane lived up to the expectations that Eddie had set. The Yak-9U has been allocated N900EA and has been named "BARBAROSSA". The aircraft has an all metal frame with fabric covered control surfaces. The canopy has been adapted to house a jump seat behind the pilot. The airplane was delivered with gun sight and externally looks armed.
The aircraft was built to accept an Allison V-1710 liquid cooled power plant instead of the Klimov as issued by the Soviet Airforces."

Eddie Andreini pilot skin is also included.

Salute!
