Today though I ran an event at SimHQ using the ORR truck mod for rFactor, and it was a blast. If you've got rFactor, you might check this out.

I've been a UT player for many years, and though I've slacked off of late, when the new UT3 demo was released I had to take a peek.

Install went OK, but there were huge amounts of registry modifications due to the included installation of the Microsoft.net framework. I think that installing the .net stuff took longer than installing UT3!

Trying to run UT3 demo failed at first, and the problem was my graphics drivers. So updating to the latest version solved the issues...

This is looking pretty good I think. These kind of things will add a good deal to the immersion.

Paul Taylor has updated his blog with information about the Acceleration addon for FSX, as well as Service Pack 2 and DX10 support.

There are links to a couple of example screenshots, as well as some discussion on comparing FSX with DX10 to the concept screenshots posted some time ago.
