Re: In desesperate need of a P-51B profile

Here is a screen shot Lt. Taylors aircraft. I have not added the yellow wing band to the aircraft because I want to make sure it was present. In 1944 some stripes were present others not. So, if there is a photo somewhere of WZ-I that would help.

Re: In desesperate need of a P-51B profile

About the wings yellow stripes, I haven't still received further pics, but let me point out something. If you check Mr george Loving (woodbine leader) site, you will find a big beautiful pic of him posing on his plane's left wing. Zoom it to 150-200% and you will read the serial last numbers : ".10658x"... x stands for 3 or 9 I think... Amazing isn't it ?
So Mr Lovings plane was delivered in the same "pack" than our "future wreck"...

And about the yellow stripes on the wings ? He we come : now check Mr Peter Kassaks site (Final destination Slovakia), go to the gallery and pick a copyrighted picture of a P-51 B. You can't miss it, its the only one... You see : it is our old WZ-D, Mr Loving's plane. Now have an eye on the left wing, just above the external fuel tank, and you have your yellow stripe.

You can conclude by yourself, but afaik, 2 "sister-planes" were certainly painted the same way.

Cheers, don't forget my interview, I send it at 12 PM GMT.

Sébastien.
