Re: Pitts S-2B Special Help

What I see there is a glossy paint reflection that looks, from bottom to top, like:
1. grey-black
2. grey
3. blue
4. yellow/orange line
5. back to blue

I have difficulties understanding exactly what it's reflecting myself, but the gear and pitot seem reflected and should be included. I'd start by simply re-creating these colour "slabs" on the profile and then playing with them to improve the effect. HTH.

Hi, your picture is a bit tricky as there is a darker reflection below the wing that make it looking like it's carved...see the images in attachment. I think the black-yellow one can help more. If I were you I would create a basic wing with the darker side. I mean like you make in every profile. Usually I work it in grey tone and at the end I change the colors. It help me to have a uniform looking of the shadows and lights. Only in the last part of the painting I would add the reflections and glossy effect.

BTW, sites like airliners.com has lots of images taken from this point if view. Looking deeply you can surely find the best shot to study the real wing. At least this is how I do ;-D
