B-25 Mitchell

Still a lot to do on this one, but I'm slowly getting there:

Size: 27.2 KB

Of course, Doolittle had to modify his raiders and make my life harder (I'm sure he did that just to annoy me).

I'm also working on weathering and texture. The effect isn't highly visible but I rather like the way this looks:

Any criticism, comments or ideas are welcome!

Re: B-25 Mitchell

nice work, if i recall weren't some guns removed and replaced by broomsticks or something similar to lower the weight to get off the carriers? very slick work

Re: B-25 Mitchell

Great start buddy!! Bring on the dorsal turret, engine exhaust pipe and a pitching deck (getting seasick already).

Re: B-25 Mitchell

Nice start!

Sometimes, subtle is good. I doubt Doolittle's planes would have been very weathered looking since they didn't fly many missions!

Re: B-25 Mitchell

Last stage before ready: she only needs a top turret, and the markings corrected.

Doolittle's planes hadn't been used much but the pictures do show a bit of weathering. They had been tested and modified some so they weren't brand-new aircraft either. The guns in the tail are broomsticks painted in black and the belly turret was removed.

I've added a bit more weathering to it, and it seems like the right amount to me. What do you people think?

Re: B-25 Mitchell

GM,

Keep her coming, bud! Looks like a little more shadow or highlight would help define the outer wing upper/lower surfaces.

Re: B-25 Mitchell

Nice Gamery
I'd love to see more weathering but as pointed out, would it have been?
I think stronger highlights and shadows would really push this from great to SPECTACULAR!
But the fabric, like Sparty's 110, needs some work, although not as much.
The detail you have on there as black lines should be more in the form of applied fabric tape and stitching under it.
I couldn't find any good B-25 examples but here's something to look at-

And do see this one especially-
