MiG 3 Early Production Short Nose

I'm back
Well here is my MiG 3 Short Nose I started to continue working on. I started this last year, but gave up for lack of interest and to complete several other projects.

Panel lines are in, Rivets are not yet. But basic shadowing and Highlights are there.

This one should be more fun to make since I got some really good info to work from.

Re: MiG 3 Early Production Short Nose

Update? You wanna Update? OK! I'll give you an update!

First image shows the tail end and is 99% complete details wise. Second image shows the nose area and I'm just starting to do the rivets there and adding in some small details as well. The more I do, the better I like this MiG 3.

The nose area is at 100%

Re: MiG 3 Early Production Short Nose

Another update.

Most of the details for the nose is complete. As you can see, I'm working my way backward. Landing gear details are last.

Re: MiG 3 Early Production Short Nose

Back again!
Still got work to do such as more shadows and highlights then I'll create some different paint schemes once I'm satisfied with everything else.

One shot contains a full scale snap showing the rivets and details mid-ship.

Comments?

The nice thing about drawing WW2 VVS aircraft is that when your eyes get sore, you know you've got the colours right.

Your colours still look human. There's something wrong. lol.

Re: MiG 3 Early Production Short Nose

I hear you about them colors! Took me awhile to get used to the idea these colors are accurate as can be. But we all know how that goes!

Anyhow, maybe this one will be much more interesting!

Winterized camo...
