Re: Nord 2501 Noratlas

Very nice work. I like how the engine/tail boom feels very separate from the fuselage.

Thats looking really good gamary

Think I've spotted the mistake, you seem to have a spare wheel in the wheel bay

Re: Nord 2501 Noratlas

As two of you already have commented positively on the boom/fuselage separation, I guess that's one of the strong points of the drawing. I'll keep that in mind for the next drawing.

@Sundog: You've found it! I like your way of presenting it ("a spare wheel"). That way, you just stop in mid-air, replace the deflated tire and then land safely. lol

I'm with you. Bevel and Emboss can be a huge time saver. That and drop shadow sometimes.
Looking great, Gaetan.

Re: Nord 2501 Noratlas

A tiny bit more work done. The guy I'm doing it for hasn't replied so it's a bit on the backburner for the moment. Here goes:

I've experimented with a new technique to "bump" the metal skin. It's got to be refined but I'd like your opinion of it. (That is, if you can spot it, as I've set it to very low opacity. It's mostly visible on the fuselage sides. See above and left of the lowest HELICE stencil, for example. I've kept the effect very light because the bumps are not supposed to be huge holes in the metal skins, just slightly distorted metal sheets).

If you find it too hard to see, please tell me so and I'll post a clearer view of it.
