Re: The line drawing bandwagon

HA! But Otter, you know as well as I that there are guys who live, sleep, eat and dream EVERY detail of the D9. I bet there is are no more than 10 guys in the US who care about the details on the CL.II
Do let me know if you need info on the D9 cowlings, I've got the books

Very interesting the wood panels
do you use pattern for them?
I shot some photos of 4x8 birch plywood several years ago when I was building a desk. I knew it would come in handy. I do wish I had lit it better and shot bigger photos though...
Attachment 2140

Thanks for the support and ass kicking guys, I need to get to working on this one!

I got it. Not sure what the Germanic tribes think they are doing, but I got it. It's sort of like taking a baseball bat to a helmet and because it has new dents it's a "Helmut MK II". Great shots though BH.

Re: The line drawing bandwagon

As to your plywood shot....you don't really need it. Ran across an awesome tute for doing your own from scratch in Photoshop.

Where? Which one? I have yet to see any wood created in PS or other painting programs that looks even close to real. I'm interested to see if it's possible, please post a link

A little more, I've started in on the details but there's still SO much more to go

I'm going to be sorry to see the wood texture go, but very very few were left unpainted.

Wonderful Blowhard. That is almost enough to spur me to revisit this hobby.

That is splendid, BH! I agree with you: too bad the wood has to go.
