Re: The line drawing bandwagon

Not true! I only have a picture of a right hand grapple gromet for a Dinklewerf GX 3000

Re: The line drawing bandwagon

I'll save that! Doing a Dinklewerf GX 3000 in the very near future unless Jester beats me to it. If he does I'll just switch to a Caproni Maroni "Scud" C2 experimental reversable fighter or the Humbly Pudge "Gallipoly" Heavyish bomber.

Re: The line drawing bandwagon

I was reminded today that I'm not working too much these days. I forced myself to put in a few hours. This thing is getting SO top heavy it's a pain to work on, it takes forever to open and save

Anyway, some additions to the tail with some color variation-

You should finish her up BH, she's looking gorgeous.

Re: The line drawing bandwagon

Thanks guys
It'll definitely get finished Jester, but at the rate I'm going it'll be months or years
I don't suppose anyone is hiring profile artists full time?

Profiling for a living. That would be cool.

Re: The line drawing bandwagon

There are few people I know who are as determined and thorough as you are BH. A lot of people wouldn't care how many spokes the wheel had if it was canvas covered. Layer by layer you create a reality that is far more than realism. It is a journey into the actual substance of the beast! You may not be prolific with your work, but you are damned maddening with a thorougness few can match in what you do manage to produce.

Re: The line drawing bandwagon

Thanks Otter, you make it sound like there's hope for me
I'll tell you one thing, if I still had my old job back I'd be MUCH more prolific. Now, after I get home I'm SO burned out from running Photoshop all day, working on profiles for hours doesn't seem a good idea
I am nibbling away at it slowly;
With help from some of the guys at the Aerodrome, I've made a few corrections. It appears that Halberstadt didn't use the specified 50mm borders on their crosses, but used 70mm. Sure enough, the photos point this out...how did I miss that???? Also, I had the orientation of my fabric wrong.
Added; a few bits to the tail section that were missing as well as another variation- a little notch on the horizontal stabilizer that shows up on some planes.
