just to add to my post, can anyone shed any light on where the markings etc... might have gone? or even suggest any alterations to it at this stage.

I think you are best of looking at late war german AC like 262's and Ta-152's and duplicating those

Looks a bit like a Venom or Vampire, as for markings not sure, I found this but it's probably just guessing

that confirms my guess where markings might have gone, now onto the tricky subject that is colours this is a potential minefield, could someone help me and tell me what colours the HE162's and end of war days ME262's used i've tested about 30 swatches but nothing looks right, any help here would be much obliged.
