Re: Me 410 profile

A good first profile you have there m8, looks fresh and clean and you have a good subject.
There are some anomalies which stand out to me, such as the engine has a darker shadow than the rest of the aircraft. You have used lines to create the under wing radiator shape rather than tone and for me, I like to see a little bit more contrast overall.
I noticed that you have a backward perspective on the under wing markings, which on profiles you cant really show or you’d have to show it on the rest of the profile (defeating the object of making a profile in the first place). “But that’s just my opinion, overall, I think it’s a great start”.

Re: Me 410 profile

Welcome to SPS, Peter! Be nice with him, guys: he's the one who gave me a chance to publish my drawings in a real book.

You have a good start here, Peter. As Jesters points out, you should reinforce the shading on the fuselage. The shape will be clearer with that, and it will stay coherent with the engine nacelle's shading too.

Another, simple thing you can do would be to correct the colour gradient you've used on the canopy. You've used a vertical blue-white-blue gradient. I'd suggest you make that a horizontal one instead. Make it follow the curve of the canopy if you can.

Looking forward to more.

Re: Me 410 profile

Heh, Thanks GM..

I am just trying to draw...but I will never achieve the top status ...
Anyway these profiles will be published (I hoep so) in polish magazine, in smaller scale, so there should not be such a detail on em...
but later on I am preparing ZG 76 history, with mostly new Me 410 profiles...and there I would be glad to get assistance from real artists
best regards

BTW I used your tutorials as a guideline some nice tricks there...

Peter

Re: Me 410 profile

Don't worry, Peter: everyone has to start somewhere, and what you're doing is not bad anyway. And there is no top status as such, but this forum is a good place to learn lots of stuff. I've learned a whole lot from what the people here told me, and also by studying their work.

Sounds interesting. What sort of assistance are you thinking of?

Re: Me 410 profile

The profile is very nice indeed!
Just one thing: noone has noticed that this is a Me 210, not 410 A short type of the first series, acutally one of prototypes tested with a 4-blade propeller. More are to come, this time in longer A-1 series version.

Re: Me 410 profile

And now Zamex! Nice to see you guys here. What aircraft have you been creating lately apart from that Me 210/410?

Re: Me 410 profile

Hi Peter. Excellent first effort. Don't get discouraged by comments. Without them my profiles would have still RGB 0,0,0 underwing letters. Now they are 50,50,50, 75% opacity and largely covered by shading that is as dark as 60,60,60 on a 150,150,150 base. They are there, they are accurate but they cannot be read

The main thing is have lots of fun and keep learning. Profile art is something that benefits from practice.

David
