Re: My first

Have to agree with santynus just a little more work on the drop tank? I like the effect you've got on with the green paint looks like it as been put on with a paint brush in the field. Excellent work Would be great if you did some more of these in different paint schemes you would have an endless choice, Really great work man.

Re: My first

OH HELL did I ever get some things wrong! The guys over at J-Aircraft put me straight. No antenna mast or wire on 22s! I'm not sure if this is 100% correct but the planes in the photo sure don't have them!!!
Also, I GOT THE PROPELLER BACKWARDS!
I've fixed that stuff.

Ronnco, I didn't go darker but I did go with more of a green color. Maybe it's too green now but the shadows aren't as muddy and the highlights aren't chalky anymore. But perhaps you were referring to the amount of contrast between the camouflage green and the tan base color?

Santynus, you are correct. Although I don't want to get too dirty or beat up, more dirt and muck would be in order. Good call, thanks

Jester, PM me your email and I'll send you a BIG one. I'm still thinking of this as "not to be seen at 100%" but maybe 80%?

Thanks again for all the encourgment

Re: My first

BTW, I noticed how LIGHT the posted images were so I darkened this one so it would look right in my browser. I'm not sure how you all are seeing it but the previous images seem pretty light. If this last one seems dark, then that's why :P

Re: My first

Only just found this thread... that looks absolutely bloody amazing! Must have taken hours to match that camo as closely as you have. Would have taken me months. Keep them coming please BH!

Re: My first

Thanks again guys
It's been a lot of fun doing these even if it is a lot of work. I think I've got about 60-70 on the plane itself. Probably 8-12 hours on the camouflage on top of that. A lot of late nights!!!
I have the good fortune to have Ryan Toews, the Zero expert, helping me out with details I missed and didn't even know about. With his input, I think I've got a much better more accurate version of the Nishizawa plane. (It will probably continue to be updated until it's perfect I hope )

Re: My first

Is it just "my" eyes or does it looks like the top blade is facing the other way?
Looks concave not convex?
