New version of Serval's Skin Manager for the IL-2 series

The skinmanager has been updated to version 1.21
It supports all aircraft up to version 4.07 (AKA IL-2: 1946)
Beside that it recognizes 1946 as a new installation. This to make it possible to had 1946 installed next to FB and PF stand alone.

You can download it from this page:

Re: New version of Serval's Skin Manager for the IL-2 series

Well done!! Great Job!!

I would like to thank you and your helping hands to update the tool that fast!! I have checked it out, and it works ok with my versions of FB/PF and 1946.

I would offer my help to translate in case you want to add a german configuration.

Meanwhile I will play arround with the tool, and explore its full capabilities.

Kind regards
Papa Roach

A german translation would be very welcome.
Could be that a translation guide is in the language directory (not sure weather I packed it into the installer). If not PM me your mail address and I'll mail you the file.

Re: New version of Serval's Skin Manager for the IL-2 series

1. it unzips zip-files with skins. But you don't have to browse for directories. You can select by aircraft name as you know it from inside the game (manual install)
2. If the skinner zipped it with Skinmanager, then you don't have to think at all just click the install button and the skin(s) will be installed where the skinner intended them to (automatic install)
3. Manage your skins, view the BMP files, move and delete them (skin browser)

It works much faster then unzipping the skins with Winzip. For people who are not familiar with the skin directories of the il-2 series, it is really easy to work since you only have to select by aircraft name.

Re: New version of Serval's Skin Manager for the IL-2 series

It's been updated to version 1.21.

Thanks to Papa Roach we now have German language support and a few issues with changing languages have been solved.
The game detection feature has been improved.
Read the readme for a known issue in this.
