IL2/FB/PF skin compatibility database

I have been working on getting the old skin compatibility list from il2skins.com added to Simmers Paintshop recently. The page system I had built at il2skins.com was really not easy to edit or update, however.

So I have adapted the "Glossary" section at Simmers Paintshop to have a database listed by plane type, and it is member contribution that build the database. I'll outline an example below.

In the attached example image, you'll see the glossary area of the SP website. Each numbered point shows how areas work for searching the database, and for adding to it.

1>The main glossary header box. Make sure the drop-down in the upper right shows "IL2/FB/PF Skin Compatibility" (the other database is for skinning terms). The guildlines for submissions are outlined in this area.

2>Alphabetical search area. In the example pic, I've clicked on "F" and the first two entries I've added on the FW-190A and D are shown. (You can also search using the text box on the upper left.)

3>Contribute a term. This side box contains the tools to add new entries yourself.

4>Term. This is the plane type. Keep it as general as possible. I've grouped the FW-190A/F planes together into one entry as they are mostly compatible. This makes searching easier.

5>Term Category. Make sure this is set to "IL2/FB/PF Skin Compatibility" so your entry is filed correctly.

6>Description. Simply describe how the skins are compatible, and maybe possible small differences.

Images are not shown and will be deleted, so please don't add any. Hit submit and the entry will be moderator approved and integrated into the database.

Suggestions are welcomed on this project. As it's community edited, it'll fill up as you guys make it do so. Hope it works well and provides a useful service.

I lost all of my skins when the site went down and my hard drive went kaput. Would be nice to have 'em all back some day.
