Monday we will also announce who is the lucky one to win a profile by Phoenix art.

Once again the prizes which the artists who entered the Showcase 2007 competition can win:
To the winning profile artist:

The Spyder2Express

The Spyder2 is a monitor calibration device. The Spyder2 works with a measurement device, which is connected to a USB 2 port. It lets you reset the monitor to factory defaults and from there helps you to adjust your monitor. In the end you get a color profile which is loaded at startup and a color profile for Photoshop, which you can select in your preferences. The software reminds you regulary to calibrate again, since the aging of your monitor makes it necessary.

To the winning screenshot artist:

The Wacom Bamboo

The Bamboo is the latest pen tablet series by Wacom. A pen tablet is nice because you can draw with a familiar pen grip, which feels much more natural than drawing with a mouse. The mouse cursor moves to the position of the screen where you hold the pen on the tablet. So, when you hold the pen on the right top corner of the tablet, the cursor will move to the right top corner of the screen as well. In addition, the pen is pressure sensitive for creating subtle shading effects. You can use the tablet and your existing mouse simultaneously.
