Looks promising
Can you show a bit more of the light effects in the game? That might help us IL-2 boys to give suggestions at skinning.

In aces high we use a material.txt ex:
0.250,0.250,0.250,Ambient
0.650,0.650,0.650,Diffuse
0.000,0.000,0.000,Emissive
0.110,0.110,0.110,Specular
10.000,Power

Here's a little guide as to what each section of the materials.txt file is....

Ambient - This is the "default" lighting on the aircraft. This affects the whole aircraft in a sort of "flat"

manner, in that the light on the top and the bottom (and every other angle) is exactly the same. With this setting,

you can make your aircraft lighter, darker, or even change its color some.

Diffuse - Diffuse lighting is the brightness of a light source between the ambient (default) and the specular

(highlights). Diffuse lighting adds some directional lighting to an aircraft, without giving it that "shiny" look.

Emissive - Emissive (as far as I can tell) is the "glow" of the aircraft. For a very shiny metal plane, it might

actually be ok to add some Emissive light, as a metal aircraft will reflect light off itself and onto surrounding

areas. Emissive isn't lighting of the plane, but light EMINATING from the aircraft.

Specular - Specular is the "highlights" or "glossy parts". The higher these numbers, the brighter or more glossy the

aircraft becomes. In the case of an anti-glare panel, I beleive that they are 0.000, 0.000, 0.000

Power - No idea yet =)

As far as the way the numbers go...

0.xxx, 0.yyy, 0.zzz

xxx - The red component of the light
yyy - The green component of the light
zzz - The blue component of the light

On a metal aircraft, I migh make the specular something like
0.800, 0.800, 0.875
Which would basically mean the aircraft is a very glossy aircraft, and has a slight blue tinge to the gloss effect

(kind of a pseudo reflection of the blue sky).

Hope that helps some =)

(BTW, good thing I copied this into a text file. Forums went poopie this morning. LOL)

Oops...
If you have Nortons Utilities, you might have the Protected recycle bin. There you can find older versions of overwritten files. Saved me from a similar problem once.

Re: P47 Miss Fire/Rozzie Geth II (Early Start)

Why can't I see any of SkyChimp's images? I have images turned on the forum setup and I see images of others in the other threads, but nothing from SkyChimp, not even a link. I'm seeing responses to his posts and I'm wondering what people are seeing, all I see is the text

I think he has removed them from his website...
That's often a problem with off-site links.
