Re: Just uploaded my new I-153 Template
"Pilavsky" is meant to be a personal insult directed against myself and my work ("too bright!"). Sadly, there are simply too many persons in the modern world who are utterly unfamiliar with the process of scientific investigation. Such persons have, therefore, no understanding of-- and no respect for-- the collection of evidence, nor any ability to understand the meaning of the same. Such persons are convinced that "reality" may be ascertained by believing in comfortable hackneyed myths which suit their own personal fancy. Truly sad, indeed....
My only comment on this template, which looks technically well accomplished, is that you might revisit the tutorial on this site for VVS colouration as regards the application of various lacquers. For example, one colour layer (if I am not wrong) is listed as A-24m Green. This finish was designed for use on metal surfaces, specifically, and was introduced in a rather limited way on all-metal aircraft like the Pe-2 and Tu-2 during the latter parts of 1944. The I-153, conversely, was a fabric covered aircraft manufactured during 1940-41. I think you can see that the two don't go together, if I might put it like that.
In any case, I am sure that this template will be welcome for various skinners, and a nice resource to have at hand.
