Re: How to draw lines of rivets in PSP?

Hi Wildbat,
eh eh, I'm glad I've had a look here, as it gives me some idea of the ETA of MAW. Don't worry, I will not spread the word

About rivets : thanks for the pics of the big screws, that is very helpful
A suggestion : I think 35%, even in using the "overlay" blending mode, is too much for rivets on planes. These would look fine on tanks but usually, when you look at photos of planes, rivets are barely noticeable except if you're very close. That's why I would decrease the opacity of that layer to something about 20% (and even less).

I know that it's one of your trademarks, Wildbat, but frankly I think your rivets are a bit overdone. This, of course, is meant as a positive crit, and only reflects my opinion. However, I base my opinion on observing photos. Eventually, any painters chooses what looks good to him.

A rule I've chosen to apply to my painting, especially when doing the weathering and such : choose an opacity that seems to look good, then decrease it by about 2,3%. I don't trust my eyes for subtlety
That's the technique I applied to create the texture for the pavement on this bridge, and I still think the weathering is a bit overdone (the sides are not weathered yet).

PS : thanks for the OFF plug!
