I guess it's not something most wish to comment on, but like you, it's one of my favorite WWII Italian fighters.
I understand your point of the background and I have thought of the same thing as you did. Since it's all layered, not a problem. However, I do like the flag myself!
After I do this, I'll go back to my B-24H I'm creating which will be MUCH larger and more detailed I hope. I also do Pin-ups which is why I'm creating the B-24 in the first place. I'll have more updates soon!
