Well, idle as in running but no real thrust, not as in idle-not moving...as in sitting on the runway with your prop spinning, throttled back, low RPM, that kind of idle.
Maybe that usage more of an American term?
Anyway, I meant 2 speeds, low RPM and high RPM. TR has off too of course. I guess off is really idle
